Access & Collaboration
3. Access & Collaboration
Permissions & visibility β Role-based access for creating, editing, running.
Integrations & connections β Using external systems or skills with Sheets.
Permissions & Visibility
Access to AI Sheets follows workspace role-based permissions (RBAC) and applies to both sheet structure and AI Skill execution.
Creation
Any user with Editor or higher permissions in a workspace can create a new Sheet.
Editing
Editors can add, edit, or delete columns and rows. Viewers can only see data.
Running AI Skills
Only users with Editor or higher permissions can run AI Skill columns.
Visibility
Sheets inherit permissions from their parent workspace, folder, or project. Private Sheets are not supported outside of workspace scope.
Sharing
Sheets can be shared the same way as Docs or Projects, with role-based access (Viewer, Editor, Admin).
Auditability
Runs and edits are logged in the workspace activity history for traceability.
Integrations & Connections
Sheets integrate with external systems through AI Employees. Rather than connecting directly, a Sheet uses AI Employee skills to pull in data, transform values, or trigger external actions.
AI-powered automations
Add an AI Employee skill column to a Sheet to run connected actions (e.g., enrich data, format text, query external systems).
Skill selection
When creating a column, select the AI Employee and the skill you want to run. Skills inherit the integrations and connections configured for that Employee.
Trigger modes
Columns can be run manually (per cell) or set to auto-run when input values change.
Scope & permissions
Only users with Editor or higher permissions can add or execute AI Employee columns. Skills respect the same authentication and access rules defined for the AI Employee.
Auditability
Runs are logged in the workspace activity history, alongside other AI actions.
