Overview

The AI Knowledge Base in Motion is a collection of websites and snippets that the AI can reference when answering questions or generating content. It helps the AI stay grounded in information that’s specific to you or your team.

Knowledge Base Key Properties

Property
Details

Data source

Only websites and text can be added as knowledge sources. Other file types (PDFs, docs, spreadsheets) are not supported at this time.

Permissions

Anyone on the team can upload and edit AI Knowledge sources. There are no role-based restrictions for managing knowledge.

Visibility

Private AI Knowledge: Sources are visible only to the individual user who added them. Team AI Knowledge: Sources are shared globally across the workspace and available to all members.

File size & format limits

Because only websites are supported, file size restrictions do not apply. Web pages must be publicly accessible or properly authenticated if behind a login (when supported).

Default behavior

When AI generates responses, it checks the relevant knowledge base (private or team) for context. If no relevant knowledge is found, AI will continue based on general task understanding.

Limitations

  • Only websites can be added as knowledge; no direct upload of PDFs, docs, or spreadsheets.

  • If a website changes, the AI Knowledge source may need to be refreshed to stay accurate.

  • Indexing is limited to the content that can be accessed from the provided URL (e.g., hidden or dynamically loaded content may not be captured).

  • Private AI Knowledge cannot be shared with the team unless they toggle on Share with team.
