Limitations

Data hierarchy in Motion has defined boundaries for how items can be organized and linked.

Category	Limitations
Nesting	Subtasks can only exist under a single parent task; they cannot be nested further.
Cross-workspace links	Items cannot depend on or reference tasks/projects across different workspaces. All relationships are workspace-bound.
Folders & projects	Folders and projects cannot be nested infinitely; depth is limited to maintain performance.
Docs & sheets	Docs and sheets cannot contain tasks or subtasks directly; they can only link to them.
Dependencies	Circular dependencies (Task A depends on Task B, and Task B depends on Task A) are not supported.
Permissions	Visibility always follows workspace rules; items cannot be made visible outside of their workspace without explicit sharing.
Reporting scope	Archived items are excluded from most active reports and scheduling views unless restored.
