⚖️AI Knowledge Base

Add AI Knowledge to Motion

AI Knowledge gives Motion the context it needs to work smarter. By connecting trusted sources, you make it easier for AI to brief you, summarize content, and answer questions with the right information. For now, you can add websites as your knowledge base — no more digging through tabs.

At a glance

  • Store important knowledge directly in Motion.

  • Upload websites as sources — personal or team-wide.

  • Keep knowledge private to you or share it across your workspace.

  • AI will draw from these sources when drafting briefs, summaries, and answers.

What you’ll learn

A high-level overview of the skills you’ll gain by the end of this tutorial. This tutorial walks you through how to:

  1. Add a website as a knowledge source.

  2. Choose between private (just for you) or team-wide visibility.

  3. Use AI Knowledge in chats to brief, summarize, and answer with added context.

Access AI knowledge

Access AI Knowledge

You can open AI Knowledge in two ways, and both bring you to the same screen — so use whichever is easiest:

  1. From Chat – At the bottom left of your AI chat, click Edit AI Knowledge to jump right in.

  2. From Settings – Go to Settings (⚙️ cog icon) → AI Knowledge to manage your team’s knowledge base.

Add your website

Add a website to AI Knowledge

AI Knowledge is built on knowledge entries (manually written context & website) you add. Right now, you can upload websites. First choose where the knowledge should live, then add it.

  1. Pick the library

    1. Private AI Knowledge → applies only to your AI Chat sessions.

    2. Team AI Knowledge → applies to everyone’s AI Chat and AI Employees (everyone in the workspace).

  2. Click the add button

    1. Select + Add Private Knowledge or + Add Team Knowledge (top‑right of each section).

  3. Add your knowledge

    1. Paste your website URL or write out a knowledge entry. It can be an external website or internal context, like your company mission, team names, or processes.

    2. Click Save. Motion will index the page so AI can use it.

🎉 Outcome: Your site appears in the text field section and is now available for AI Chat and AI Employees to reference.

👉 Pro tip: Start with websites that your team relies on every day — like documentation, help centers, or customer-facing pages.

Think of AI Knowledge as your personal and/or team’s shared brain. Add websites and internal context once, and Motion will keep it ready for chat, projects, and AI Employees.
