Support Providers

Motion integrates with the three major external calendar systems:

Google Calendar	Full event sync, recurring event support, task display, booking link event creation.	Fastest sync performance; most robust for reminders and recurrence handling.
Microsoft Outlook (Office 365 / Exchange Online)	Full event sync, recurring event support, task display, booking link event creation.	Sync intervals may vary; some advanced Outlook recurrence rules must be managed externally.
iCloud Calendar	Event sync, recurring events, task display.	Feature set is more limited compared to Google and Outlook; relies on Apple ID integration.

Behavior

• Motion respects the rules of each provider (e.g., recurring event patterns, reminder defaults).

• All providers support read/write integration, allowing Motion to create and update events.

• Tasks appear externally for visibility only; they cannot be updated outside of Motion.

Why it matters Supported providers determine how reliably your events and tasks sync. Google and Outlook provide the most consistent integration, while iCloud support is more basic.
