Relationships

Relationships define how items connect to each other across the hierarchy. They provide context, sequencing, and traceability.

Relationship	Details
Dependencies	Tasks and subtasks can be marked as dependent on other tasks. A dependent task cannot be scheduled until its prerequisite is complete.
Cross-project links	Tasks can reference or depend on tasks in other projects within the same workspace. Cross-workspace dependencies are not supported.
References	Any item (task, doc, project, sheet) can be mentioned in another item’s description or comment using @mention. Creates a persistent link to the referenced item.
Parent–child (hierarchy)	Subtasks inherit scheduling and reporting context from their parent task. Projects and folders provide parent context for tasks, docs, and sheets.
Navigation links	Copy link generates a direct URL to the specific item or block. Access depends on workspace permissions.
