Introduction

AI Sheets are a new way to bring your business data into Motion — and let AI do the heavy lifting on top of it. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, CRMs, and automation tools, you can upload data once, enrich it with AI Skills, and share it with AI Employees to drive real work. From lead scoring to personalized outreach, Sheets turn static rows into dynamic workflows.

At a glance

  • When to use it: Anytime you’d normally export/import data between spreadsheets and tools (e.g., CRM enrichment, lead scoring, bulk email drafting).

Upload and structure data

  1. Click the + New button in the top left corner.

  2. From the dropdown, select New Sheet. (This opens a blank sheet where you can add columns and rows, just like a spreadsheet.)

  3. Give your sheet a clear name — for example, “Leads List” or “Campaign Emails.”

  4. Add columns for the types of data you want to track (e.g., Name, Company, Email, Score).

  5. To upload existing data from a CSV:

    1. Click Import at the top right of the sheet.

    2. Select your CSV file from your computer.

    3. Motion will automatically detect column headers and map them into the sheet.

  6. Review the imported data and confirm everything is aligned correctly.

👉 Pro tip: Start simple. You can always add more columns later as your workflow grows.

Mapping AI skills

Map AI Skills to columns

AI Sheets let you enrich your data by connecting it to AI Employees and their Skills. Once you’ve created a Skill (see our separate guide), you can link it to a column so that each row can be processed automatically.

  1. In your sheet, click the “+” button at the top of a column.

  2. From the dropdown, select AI Employee Skill. (Tip: you can also add standard text or number columns here.)

  3. In the popup, give your column a clear name (for example, “Scored Lead” or “Personalized Email”).

  4. Choose the AI Employee and Skill you want this column to run.

  5. Save the column.

Now, each row in your sheet can run through that AI Skill, producing results directly in the column.

Manage run and track credits

Manage runs and track credits

When you’re ready, you can run AI Skills across your sheet rows — either just a few at a time or the entire dataset. Motion also makes it easy to see how many credits you’ve used.

  1. In your sheet, select how many rows you want to process — you can run a single row, the top 10 rows, or all rows at once.

  2. Keep an eye on the credit tracker in the top-right corner of your sheet.

  3. It shows your remaining credits.

  4. You’ll also see your total usage so far.

This way, you stay in control of scale and costs while making sure your data stays clean and usable.
